'Grimoire' - Chapter 2 "Hey Heather, You gotta come see this!" Dustin yelled while staring at the obituaries in disbelief.
Heather walks sipping a cup of coffee, "What do I 'gotta' come see?"
"You remember that Tony kid from high school?"
"The kid that just about nobody liked?"
"Yep."
"What about him?"
"He's dead."
"What???"
"Yeah, they found him the other day. Disemboweled."
"Oh, sick! Dustin, I just ate!" Heather quickly puts down the cup, as not to spill it.
"So? Read it for yourself!"
Heather skims the paper and starts to become pale, "I think I'm going to be sick."
"Come on, from a little article?"
"Dustin, it explains how a sick-minded person killed someone that we used to go to school with. It's not like it's someone that we don't even know, even though I'm sure he deserved to get beat up, but not killed. Have a bit more respect!"
"We should go to his grave."<

'Grimoire' - Chapter 1"We're home," said Heather as they pulled up into the driveway next to their house. Her long brown hair shined in the sun. Sky blue eyes gleamed at the sight of her old home. Most of the guys at college hit on her in hopes of getting a date. Very popular. None of the guys got that lucky. She kept the secret that she already had a boyfriend and enjoyed watching all of them battle over who would get the first date. Ashley, on the other hand, was a bit more quiet. She didn't socialize as much as Heather, but she made up for that with getting the highest grades in her classes. Ashley and Heather first met each other when they were little children. Ever since then, they have been inseparable Ashley had brownish-blonde hair that looked almost red in the sunlight. Her skin was like silk and she had blue eyes to just about match the sky. Some of the guys thought that they would be perfect for her, but she held back a dark secret...
They sat in the over packed truck

The time to think had to be

Copic marker coloring of ~lilly-gerbil's lineart [link] of artwork ©Ken Suhimori.

Only post-work was cutting out the background and using a 'Reduce Noise' filter to remove the degrading caused by the scanner so the final image is much closer to what is on paper. Pokemon lineart will be for practice purposes only, so I won't note the colors I used, but this was traced with a Copic inking pen.

EDIT: Seems like I'll be using ~IAmArkain's camera from now on instead of scanning since the colors were preserved WAY better.

The main practice point though was the unlined flame on the tail. Kinda "meh" about it on my first attempt, so I need to use more references next time.
